  • ok.. so it's not just a walk in the park...

    ComfortableFit
asked why the thoughts expressed in my last entry were in my head. To
be honest, I've been thinking of moving away for some time now, but it
really never seems to be the right time.

    Time and time again,
people have been telling me, "Do it while you're young." At the same
time, I've told people the same thing. But for some reason, I'm torn
because I'm so comfortable with this area. My family and friends are
here; also, I feel very fortunate to have a job right now that may not
pay a huge amount of money, but for me, it's enough.

    At the
same time, I'm not really sure of what I would do if I were to move
away. Do I really want to do software development for the rest of my
life? The answer to that question is most likely not.

  • a lot of ppl want to move out when they out of college...but i love to stay w/my parents....crz all i do just hide in my bedroom all the time...i hardly come out to the living room..and my mom does all the housework, cook for moi everyday...so i cant think of a reason why i wanna move out!..but sometimes is good to move out to see the world =)...like i said...everything has pros and cons....

it's nice to hear that you got a job you like....i hate my job so much...but what can i do if i cant find another one ~

  • Best to do it now than regretting missing the opportunity.

You don't necessary have to move out of the area.  Take little trips around the world and come on back home.  Unless you have committed something heinous that moving to another country is your only solution, then godspeed and don't forget to write.  (jk jk jk)

There are plenty of job opportunities around the area that are not computer related but would fit in your area of expertise.

  • i agree with john- about traveling the world and coming back home (theres no place like home).. but of course it's different when u actually live in the country- it will be a totally different culture and way of life.

anyway, i don't see you programming for life either.. i always think u would move on to be a professor or a priest, hehehe good luck with whatever u decide!
