  • Well, for those of you who aren't yet aware, next month, I'm headed for
    the LA/San Diego area. The other places will have to wait, perhaps until next year...

    For some reason, I keep procrastinating the purchase of the tickets. I
    guess I'm a little nervous about taking a trip by myself for a week.
    I've traveled on my own before, but only to job interviews around the
    country for a couple of days at a time. But a pleasure trip by myself?
    In my twenty-seven years, I've never accomplished it before.

    Even so, the urge to explore the country persists in my head, and I get the notion that I need to do it before settling down.

    This weekend, I'll devote at least an afternoon to trip booking and planning.

    It must happen!!!

  • Good luck Calvin! Here's my suggested itinerary for you:

    day 1: Arrival/ Visit Downtown San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter
    day 2: San Diego Zoo/ Balboa Park or Wild Animal Park
    day 3: Day Trip to Tijuana, Mexico or Rosarito/Ensanada in Baja California
    day 4: Drive to Anaheim California and Visit Disneyland (50th Anniversary this year!)
    day 5: Drive to Los Angeles and Visit Hollywood
    day 6: Shop/Sightsee in LA some more before Departure

    actually, forget that idea.  denmark would be better.

    it can be a refreshing change... don't forget to enjoy yourself.  Also, don't forget to check out some single's hot spots.  ^_~
