they shouldn't, but they definitely start things off on the wrong OR right foot. first impressions are really powerful. to the way a person looks, their mannerisms, everything. think about a job interview. you're usually only speaking with a person for a limited period of time, and in that period of time, judgements are definitely made. the trick is to basically just be yourself. that way, when anyone, be it an interviewer or a random stranger, meets you, they really do meet the real you. what they see is what they will get.
